Promotion of Yoga and Ayurveda

VDFG is associated with Patanjali Yogpeeth ( PYP) since 2005 which is a tremendous boost to the Group’s CSR efforts. This association has helped in strengthening and further expanding the scope of community outreach programs. PYP is a widely recognized and acclaimed institution for social and scientific research in Yoga and Ayurveda.

VDFG has affected and changed lives of thousands of people for the better. The Group equates profitability to community growth and involvement. It is equally conscious of its social responsibility because it truly believes that building social strength in communities is as imperative as building economic strength. With valuable experience in infrastructure development, long term involvement with local communities and collaboration with socially committed organizations, VDFG is ideally positioned to undertake various levels of philanthropic engagements.

VDFG believes that CSR is not the responsibility of only corporate houses but of all the companies, be it small or large, Every enterprises has a responsibility to contribute towards its community. To support the sustainable development of the society, VDFG’s flagship company ‘Asian Townsville Farms Private Ltd (ATFL) has resolved to contribute maximum funds towards Corporate Social Responsibility.

The CSR program strives to add value to all stakeholders. VDFG seeks and welcomes everyone’s support in enhancing the charitable efforts of the Group. VDFG has been demonstrating Group’s Social Responsibility activities in a variety of organized initiatives :

  1. Supporting veterans from all walks of life in their transition to a satisfying and dignified life after retirement by:-
    • Assisting them in resolving pension and health issues.
    • Providing tools, educational resources, training programmes and investment opportunities.
    • Appointing veteran personnel as ambassadors of VDFG in various districts/towns to serve as effective operational arms of the organisation to promote egalitarian objectives.
  2. Organising Health Camps and promoting awareness on Health Care
    • The Health Camps by specialist doctors are conducted in coordination with the Lions Club International.
    • Knee-Camps under the guidance of renowned bio-engineer, Dr Vijay Naik have been held regularly at different locations of Delhi – NCR
    • Health care through effective restorative alternative therapies like Acupressure, Reflexology, Naturopathy and Ayurveda is encouraged since it offers holistic ways to heal, cleanse & rejuvenate health
  3. Organising community welfare activities especially for women and children belonging to the under privileged sections of the society. While dry ration & food is distributed to the needy on a regular basis, other basic utility items like blankets, sarees, etc. are also provided. Likewise needy students are helped with books, uniform, stationery.
  4. Participation in events and programs that promote healthy lifestyles conducted by the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India and Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar. International Conference on Health and Therapy
  5. Forming partnerships with like- minded organizations that share the socio-economic vision of VDFG.

ASSOCIATION WITH PATANJALI YOGPEETH FOR PROMOTION OF YOGA & AYURVEDA

VDFG is associated with Patanjali Yogpeeth ( PYP) since 2005 which is a tremendous boost to the Group’s CSR efforts. This association has helped in strengthening and further expanding the scope of community outreach programs. PYP is a widely recognized and acclaimed institution for social and scientific research in Yoga and Ayurveda. The association aims at reviving and spreading awareness of our ancient health system since the Group firmly believes in the transformative power of the science of Ayurveda and Yoga in integrating body, mind and spirit.

To achieve the objective, VDFG liberally contributes its resources in the following ways by :-

  • Organising shivirs and participation in International Yoga Day- The ancient art of Yoga is being rediscovered at the global level. On 11th December 2014, 21st June was declared as the International day of Yoga (IDY) by the United Nations General Assembly. Since then, the Day is being celebrated across the globe through various Yoga and wellness related activities and programmes with zeal and enthusiasm.
  • Donating land for construction and development of ‘Yoga & Dhyan centres’ in housing complexes undertaken by ATFL at Ambala, Noida & Rudrapur. This ensures the well being of residents.
  • Offering logistical and operational support to yoga shikshaks for yoga promotion through donation of motorcycles, scooters and even car to facilitate their movement and help in reaching out to people at district and lower levels.
  • Promoting indigenous industry ‘vocal for local’ and encourage use of ‘swadeshi’ goods & herbal/Ayurveda products for prosperous India(Samridh Bharat)

Conduct of Yoga Shivirs

As part of CSR activities and commitment to promote the ancient wisdom of Yoga, VDFG has so far organised Yoga Shivirs in more than 80 prominent organisations. More than 17000 personnel and citizens have benefitted.

Shivirs are organised with the help of instructors from Patanjali Yogpeeth including internationally certified trainers. Special sessions are also conducted for ladies and children as required.
